Beavers Bend State Park was constructed by the CCC Conservation Corps in the 30’s, Like all of theses sites the materials used were collected from around the area in which they were to ve used. In the case of Beaver’s Bens that meant lovely rose colored Rocks and cedar Timbers.
There is a major dam within the park. Water from the reservoir is released back onto the streams below at the perfect temperature for trout to flourish. The constant source of water is a great attraction for avid trout fishermen.
